Completed Volunteer Applications MUST be submitted to the Extension Office by 4:30 p.m. on January 15, 2020 to begin the selection process in 2019. All steps of the volunteer selection process must be completed by February 15, 2020 to begin volunteer service in 2020.
4-H Committee Application - Due November 15 at 4:30 p.m.
Volunteers who are required to complete a background check by January 31, 2020 to continue volunteer service in 2020 were sent a letter from our office in October 2019. The Volunteer Fingerprint Background Procedure provides all necessary information to complete the background check requirement and enables volunteers to request reimbursement for their background check from The Ohio State University.
Request for Copy of Ohio BCI Background Check - In order for a previous background checks to meet OSU policy, it must be less than a year old and utilize the reason code required of Ohio 4-H Volunteers. Some background checks, including those for CCW permits, cannot be used. If you have questions, please contact our office for assistance.
Friend of 4-H Award
The Friend of 4-H Award honors an individual, family, business or organization which has demonstrated exceptional support of the county 4-H program, including financial support or contributions of time and other resources to benefit county youth and volunteers.
Montgomery Leadership Award
The John & Dorothy Montgomery 4-H Leadership Award recognizes individuals who have made a significant contribution to 4-H as a volunteer, either past or present.
2020 Mandatory Volunteer Trainings will take place at the Rolling Plains United Methodist Church on the following dates:
- Saturday, January 11; 10 a.m.- 12 noon
- Tuesday, January 21; 6-8 p.m.
- Wednesday, January 29; 6-8 p.m.
