Background
The Muskingum County 4-H Endowment Fund was established February 3, 1995, by the Board of Trustees of The Ohio State University, with gifts to The Ohio State University Development Fund from the Muskingum County 4-H Advisory Committee and other friends of the Muskingum County 4-H Program.
Endowment funds provide long-term support for 4-H programs across the state. The Ohio State University invests contributions, producing annual distributions from interest earnings in perpetuity.
OSU Extension, Muskingum County staff and the Muskingum County 4-H Committee manage endowment distributions. The funds support member opportunities, member and volunteer recognition and educational materials. As the endowment grows, more funds are available to support the Muskingum County 4-H program.
Gifts to the endowment strengthen the 4-H program because they generate funds every year, forever. Gifts are tax deductible, as The Ohio 4-H Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization.
Contributions to the Muskingum County 4-H Endowment Fund may be made in several ways:
- Current Gifts
- Planned Gifts
- Cash
- Life Insurance
- Property
- Bequests
- Gifts-in-kind
- Charitable trusts
- Securities
- Memorials
- Corporate matching gifts
