Local Foods Guide

Local Foods Guide

Zanesville Farmers Market

OSU Extension-Muskingum County has created a local foods guide of Muskingum County farmers and horticultural producers who are selling fruit, vegetables, meats, dairy products and other agricultural food items directly to consumers.

The purpose of this guide is to:

-Provide a link between producers and consumers

-Inform people in Muskingum County what foods they can purchase locally

-Enhance sales of locally-grown agricultural products

Some examples of products that are included in the guide are fruits, vegetables, freezer meats, locally-processed food, wine, baked goods, honey, eggs, maple syrup and other local foods.

Included are farmers who sell foods directly to consumers, farmers markets, pick-your-own operations, on-site agricultural sales and value-added producers.

If you are interested in being included in future issues of this guide or have questions, contact:  OSU Extension-Muskingum County, 225 Underwood Street, Zanesville, OH 43701.
